Bungalow Kitchen Cabinets 21: Scribing trim

Before I install the dishwasher panel I need to fit a piece of trim to cover the mortar bed. So back to the wood pile.
I need 11 feet of trim so I pulled a 12 footer from my stash and began the resaw process.
First: Metal detector boogie and pull nails. (About 50 this time)

Did a ton of work scribing a trim board today.
The dishwasher is set in its spot, ready to be leveled.
In this shot I test fit the door panel. Yes there is a dishwasher in there.

Last weekend I finished staining and finishing the dishwasher panel. I just have to motivate for the install.
Also, I am fine tuning a piece of trim on the cabinets. Soon. Soon.

I have written about finishing douglas fir before, but I keep getting lots of questions about it so here I go.

Sand to 220. Get in the grooves.

Making the washcoat to prevent blotching .. 90% Mineral Spirits

Washcoat Part 2: 10% Boiled Linseed Oil
