Yikes.
No one really believes us when we tell them the house needs some work. I think this picture says it all.
The green is the orignal wall color hidden under layers of paper and paint. We hate the yellow color walls. Five years of looking at that yellow!

If that green paint is peeling--and I'm sure it is, you might want to consider using something like Peel Away to take all the paint off--right down to the bare plaster. I had to do it to my daughter's room. I took off a painted wallpaper only to discover multiple layers of badly deteriorating paint, which of course I knew would be lead based.

Ouch! Just when I think we have it bad. We have been encountering a lot of the same in our bungalow - but we have been lucky that all of the previous layers have been sticking to a 1950's skim coat and have been "falling" off with minimal effort. Your house is looking great.

We use a different strategy. We pay a few guys to scrape the paint. :)
